Funding Opportunity #: FO-2026-MACRO-007
Awarding Agency: Administrative Office of the Courts, Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office (MACRO)
Award Period: 7/01/2025 - 6/30/2026
Program description: To support of the Maryland Judiciary's mission to provide fair, effective, and efficient justice for all, MACRO's Community Mediation Performance Grants provide funding to non-profit organizations, institutions of higher education, and local government entities in Maryland that provide community mediation services in accordance with MACRO's Ten-Point Community Mediation Model. Community mediation is an important resource for the courts and communities. Centers provide vital conflict resolution services at the neighborhood level, preventing violence and addressing the underlying causes of conflict in a manner that often cannot be achieved in a courtroom. Funding is based on (1) each center's work under the ten-point community mediation model, (2) the number of conflict resolution intakes and sessions that a center performs, and (3) the amount of funds raised during the past year.
Eligibility: Funding in this category is open by invitation-only to local governments, non-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education who operate community mediation programs according to the 10-Point Model of Community Mediation. MACRO will generally only fund one program per designated service area.
- Additional Eligibility Information: Grants may be available to help create new programs in areas not currently served by existing programs. If you are interested in offering community mediation services in Allegany, Frederick, or Garrett Counties, please contact MACRO at 410- 260-3544 or MACROgrants@mdcourts.gov to discuss whether the Ten-Point Model of Community Mediation might be right for your organization.
Application Deadline: March 10, 2025
Terms and Conditions: All grant applications and awards made under this funding opportunity are subject to the Maryland Judiciary's General Grant Conditions, and the FY26 Special Conditions for MACRO Community Mediation Performance Grants.
